Download and Install Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean AOPK on Galaxy S3

Fast and Smooth!  Android latest OS- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the fastest and smoothest version of Android yet. Official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be available update for Galaxy S3 very soon (may be end of Q3). If you want test now, then here is the tutorial on how to flash the unofficial Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean AOPK (Android Open Kang Project) on Galaxy S3 GTi9300.

Before start, please keep on mind that this is unofficial ROM and this ROM still in testing stage (Not suitable for daily use as some important function still cant work).

Step 1: Download AOKP-JB-Preview-I9300-20120803 .zip For Galaxy S3 and gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip. Then put into Galaxy S3 SD Card storage. ( Note- if you are using Touch ClockworkMod V6.0, then you need put into Internal Storage and not is External SD Card Storage)

Download AOKP-JB-Preview-I9300-20120803.zip and V9 smoothness fix.zip: Developer Link (Note: choose the ROM Version that match your Galaxy S3 Model).

Download gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip: Link

Step 2:  Download and Installed Touch ClockworkMod recovery V6.0 (Link: Download and Tutorial how to Install).

Step 3:Power Off your Galaxy S3.

Step 4: Press Galaxy S3 Volume Up Button + Power Button +Home Button until boot into CWM Recovery Mode. (What is CWM Recovery Mode?)

Step 5: Perform full wipe (wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, advanced> wipe Dalvik Cache)

Step 6:  Touch to Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”

Step 7: Select AOKP-JB-Preview-I9300-20120803.zip sdcard and select choose zip from sdcard. Select “ Yes –AOKP-JB-Preview-I9300-20120803.zip ”. The installation process is start now.

Step 8: AOKP-JB-Preview-I9300-20120803.zip now completely flash into your Galaxy s3 .

Step 9: Touch to Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”

Step 10: Select gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip sdcard and select choose zip from sdcard. Select “ Yes –gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip ”. The installation process is start now.

Reboot your galaxy S3 once the installation Complete. That’s All!

From my test results- Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean run smooth on my Galaxy S3 GTi9300. But i found that still have few important features still cant fully work, such as : Wifi, Radio, Print screen and others.
