If your are searching Custom ROM that features with small size and stable performance , then I think that Android AOKP (Android Open Kang Project) is one of the best custom ROM for your Galaxy S3.
AOKP ROM navigation and UI interface is simple as design same as the
Android flagship phones such as Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus ,etc. Lot of
Boatware was removed and this ROM size only around 100MB.
In the previous Post, I have share with you the step by step on how to flash AOKP ROM for Galaxy S3 Version GTi9300. Then, Hers is the tutorial on how to Install Android 4.2.1 AOKP ROM for T-Mobile Galaxy S3 T999:
Note: Flash or modified Galaxy S3 firmware will void the phone warranty. Method below is only for your reference and only for T-Mobile Galaxy S3 T999. Try it on your own risk. Before proceed to the step tutorial below, You can refer to the Galaxy S3 Hints and Tips for more info.
Download AOKP_December_26th_KANG.zip : Link(Note: choose the ROM Version that match your Galaxy S3 Model).
Download gapps-jb-20121130-signed.zip: Link
Step 2: Download and Installed Touch ClockworkMod recovery V6.0 (Link: Download and Tutorial how to Install).
Step 3:Power Off your Galaxy S3.
Step 4: Press Galaxy S3 Volume Up Button + Power Button +Home Button until boot into CWM Recovery Mode. (What is CWM Recovery Mode?)
Step 5:Perform full wipe (wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, advanced> wipe Dalvik Cache)
Step 6: Touch to Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”
Step 7: Select AOKP_December_26th_KANG.zip sdcard and select choose zip from sdcard. Select “ Yes –AOKP_December_26th_KANG.zip ”. The installation process is start now.
Step 8: AOKP_December_26th_KANG.zip now completely flash into your Galaxy s3 .
Step 9:Touch to Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”
Step 10: Select gapps-jb-20121130-signed.zip sdcard and select choose zip from sdcard. Select “ Yes –gapps-jb-20121130-signed.zip ”. The installation process is start now.
Reboot your galaxy S3 once the installation Complete. That’s All!
