India have been witnessing
steep rise in the number of telecom users. It has already reached 806.13
Million by end of January 2011 as it added 18.99 million new mobile
subscribers in January to take the total mobile subscriber count to
771.18 Million, according to the latest report released by Telecom
Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). However consumers are still price
sensitive in India and hence most of the users prefer a device which
comes within 5000 - 10,000, revealed a survey conducted by The Handset
Hotlist 2011. The survey further revealed that in spite of tough
competition from its rivals like Apple, Samsung- Nokia still dominates
the Indian hearts.
