Android 4.1 Update for Samsung Galaxy S3 in UK rolling out

By

A couple days ago Samsung responded to a user post on the Samsung UK FB page, that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update would be hitting Galaxy S3 devices in the UK this month, and now we know that Samsung is true to its word. Yes!! It has started raining Jelly Beans in the UK, for Galaxy S3 owners.
3 UK was the first to roll out the update yesterday, and it is hitting O2 today. The Android 4.1 update is being pushed OTA, and as always, is also available for updating via KIES. Vodafone UK customers will start getting Jelly Beaned on Monday. Orange and T-Mobile have not reported any specific date as yet, but we suspect that it would be over the course of the next few days.
Those of you on 3 and O2, better check your screens for that notification. For once, it won’t be irritating. In case you haven’t received it yet, you can manually check for it via Settings > About Phone >System Update on your device, or check through KIES.
So that’s a bit of good news before the weekend starts, and over the course of the next couple of weeks, all Galaxy S3 users who have chosen not to go the rooted way, should be happily Jelly Beaned.
