All in one PC: HP's TouchSmart 610 is now in India

By
After putting in three years into the making of all in one Touch Smarts, HP is finally lunches its Touch Smart software. The touchscreen PCs are not in much demand as it is very uncomfortable for the users to extend their hands in clumsy position to use it. But HP with its new TouchSmart 610, offers an exclusive design which helps the users turn the display to make it lie flat. It has the ability to lean upto 30 degree angle, making it flexible to use in places like a kitchen counter, when standing.

Touchscreens are best known for their sleek designs, but TouchSmart is not that thin. It looks very similar to a TV. It is 4.1 inches thick, whereas its rival Lenovo ThickCentre is 12.5 inches thick. It does not have very modern appeal in terms of looks.

The highlight of this device is its large 23-inch multi-touch screen running TouchSmart 4.0 software suite with LED backlighting. The 74K model is made up of Intel's Core i3-2100 Sandy ridge CPU along with 4GB DDR3 RAM and a 500GB (7200rpm) hard drive. The graphics card used is a ATI MXM30. Other components include a 6-in-1 card reader, slot loading DVD drive, TV Tuner, Wi-Fi with Bluetooth, HP wireless keyboard and mouse and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition.

HP also has some popular apps like Facebook, Twitter and their own RecipeBox for the multi-touch panel. The PC also features Beats Audio by Dr. Dre for a better sound experience.
All of this accessibility comes at an amount and the new 610 will cost you 74,150, wrapped with a 3-year warranty.
