Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini Leaks A Day Before Going Official – Image and Specs Onboard

By

After the triumphic success of the Quad core Flagship, the Samsung Galaxy SIII, the Koreans are ready to make their comeback into the dual core battlefield which is currently ruled by the NovaThor based Xperias from SONY with the mini version of the Quad core beast. Mini? That may not fit in the picture along with a 4-incher device being in the question. The word may go along the internals of the device but as we all know that the last mini that Samsung launched fetched them some huge sales around the globe, the Koreans look in no mood of any sort of nuisance with the tag.
On the spec-sheets, the Galaxy S3 mini boasts some robust configuration despite it’s branding viz. the ST-Ericsson U8420 chipset with a dual-core CPU clocked at 1GHz and 1GB of RAM which comprises of enough of processing power to handle all of your day to day tasks with some buttery smooth ease. Talking of butter, the new Korean kid will launch on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box topped with the super fluent, Samsung’s own Touchwiz (any patents? :D ) Android user interface.
On the multimedia part, the phone will boast a 5megapixel shooter on the back to illuminate the phone’s imaging senses while a VGA unit can be seen upfront to handle those video calls of your’s. 720p video is a sure shot yes for a device of this caliber while the 1080p capabilities stay within the question mark.
There is some full fledged connectivity on the serve for you as we have quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G with 14.4Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 HSUPA, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, optional NFC and a microUSB port. The built-in storage is set at 16GB which is expandable with a microSD card.
The phone will surface as a Galaxy S Duos look-alike while the battery will be rated at an healthy 1500mAh considering the 4.0” eye popping action upfront accompanied by the 2 gigahertz cores ticking inside the phone.
The new “mini” from the Korean may not seem the next big thing, but for such a big firm and the Galaxy brand name backing the dude up, this guy may create some problems for the dual core Xperias which are currently ruling the mid-range scenario.
The price of Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini would be €400 ($515).
