New iPad Running A6-Based Chip Spotted in App Logs

By
A new reports claims that a developer has spotted a new iPad model number "iPad3,6" in his app logs.
The device seems to be powered by a variant of Apple's new A6-based chip that powers iPhone 5.

Apple uses models numbers to distinguish between different hardware models. For example: iPad 3 Wi-Fi only model carries the model number of "iPad3,1", while iPad 3 Cellular + Wi-Fi model (CDMA) is labeled "iPad3,2" and iPad 3 Cellular + Wi-Fi model (GSM) is labeled "iPad3,3".
MacRumors reports:
It is unclear exactly what this new iPad device represents, as an "iPad3,6" designation would seem to imply a derivative of the current-generation iPad, which is designated "iPad3,1", "iPad3,2", and "iPad3,3" for the various Wi-Fi and cellular models. There have been rumors that Apple is planning to release a tweaked version of the third-generation iPad in the coming weeks in order to incorporate a Lightning connector and other internal changes, but it seems difficult to believe that such a release would also include an upgrade to the new A6 chip.
Alternatively, this new iPad3,6 could represent Apple's 2013 iPad model, which is expected to run some flavor of the A6 chip. We would, however, have expected that device to carry an "iPad4,x" designation.
It also seems unlikely that it's an iPad mini as it is widely speculated to be powered by a variant of the A5 chip, which powers iPad 2. Two models labeled "iPad2,5" and "iPad2,6" of iPad mini have already been spotted in app developer's logs.
While there is some possibility of Apple launching a revamped version of the new iPad with the new Lightning connector and an updated heat dissipation mechanism, we doubt Apple will launch a new iPad with a faster A6-chip as it would annoy early buyers. It is also important to note that the device model, as reported by the OS, can be easily faked by a jailbreaker.
As a 3rd generation iPad owner, would you be annoyed if Apple launches a revamped iPad with a faster A6-chip?
