Tutorial How To Disable Rooted Galaxy S3 Camera Sound

You know that cool sound that cameras make when the shutter opens and closes? Not so cool when you are stealthily trying to take pictures while on the job as a super spy. Or just taking a picture of that weird looking dude across the way. Here is how you can disable the shutter sound! If you have been using Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone to take pictures, then you might have noticed the sound it makes each time you capture a photo. It’s annoying for some people and there’s no option in the Settings menu to disable it. Not so cool when you are stealthily trying to take pictures while on the job as a super spy. Or just taking a picture of that weird looking dude across the way. To solve this, here’s a quick-guide explaining how you can disable your Galaxy S2 camera sound.   There are two methods that you can try to disable camera sound in Samsung Galaxy S2:
Method 1:
1. Before open the Camera application, Mute or minimize the sound volume.

2. Then open Camera application, now you can capture photo on your Galaxy S3 without any shutter sound.
Method 2: (only for root Galaxy S3) 
1. Follow the tutorial here on how to root Galaxy S3.
2. Download Root Explorer from Google Play Store. (Note: Skip this step if your Galaxy S3 has installed this root Explorer application.)
3. Open Root Explorer, change “Mount R/W” to “Mount R/O”. Then go to “System>Media>Audio>UI”.

4. Now press Galaxy S3 menu button, and then choose Muliti- select.
5. Now Delete: shutter.ogg, shutter_multiple.ogg, Auto_focus.ogg and Auto_focus_error.ogg. (Before delete, you can backup to sdcard storage)

6. Reboot your Galaxy s3. That’s all!
