Google+ Games Arriving Soon. Watch Out Facebook!

By
Google’s new social networking platform Google+, has only been available in its invitation only form for a number of weeks, but has already clocked up a following of over 20 million users. Now Google is preparing to launch its new Google+ games service which is surely going to worry its main competitor Facebook.
Google has already decided to buck the trend with developers and will take less than a 30 percent commission from developers, rather than the traditional 30 percent commission which has been set by Facebook and Apple.

The new Google+ platform for games developers will provide a new avenue to generate revenue, and one of the big differences between the Google+ games and Facebook games, is that Google+ games will be a “native client,”. Meaning Google will host the games on its own servers, rather than on the developer’s. Allowing the developers to concentrate on game development and coding rather than server management.
To add a little spice to the battle Google has already invested heavily in Facebook’s main games developer Zynga, investing an estimated 100-200 million in the Zynga over the last year or so.
Let the games commence!
